CDI’s Principles in Practice are underpinned by participatory and co-operative principles, they are guidelines by which we put our values into practice.

Participatory approaches are based on shared ownership of decision-making. CDI align with the co-operative movement. A co-operative is an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise.
